One day, I discovered how much God values us! Honestly, God doesn’t offer warranties because He doesn’t create lemons. None of us are mistakes. How could we be since God created us in His own image? (Genesis 1:27)
The reality of this truth came into focus while I was traveling home from Indiana by myself. My gracious friends, Rick and Charlene, offered to take me to an airport about 2½ hours from where I was staying. We stopped at a restaurant before completing the second ½ of our drive.
Rick found a $10 bill on the floor. Instead of keeping it for himself, he gave it to me. Little did I know how valuable that $10 would be? Besides using it for airport tips and exiting Harlingen’s airport parking lot, I had $2 left for a “Thank You, God!” offering.
But the greatest miracle happened when I went to put the $10 in my purse. I couldn’t find it! Had it not been for that 10-dollar bill, I would have had no i.d., nor my iPhone, once I arrived at the airport!
As it turns out, while eating at our table, my purse had fallen onto the windowsill underneath the table — out of sight. That seemingly insignificant $10 led me on a search to find something that I didn’t realize was “lost” — and, Praise God — I found it!
