A Prayer for Fathers

Heavenly Father, I intercede today for fathers that they will know you as their heavenly Father and Jesus as Lord and Savior. I pray that they will love you as you have loved them. May fathers love their children’s mother and may their children see this demonstrated by their father caring for, encouraging, and supporting her. 

Father, by your Holy Spirit convict and lead them to be the spiritual leaders of their home. I pray that they will teach their children by example and action how to pray and have a relationship with you through your Word. I pray that they will lead their children to accept Jesus as their Lord and remind them to take time daily to listen to and play with their children. Open their eyes and heart to see that their children are the only treasures that they can take to heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
