GOD HEARD MY CRIES

Updated: Mar 29

When my son was stationed in Chicago in 2004, I could sense that something was off. We would talk on the phone and he would assure me that everything was fine, but a mother knows. I could tell he was hurting. Daily I would pray to the Lord to surround him with godly friends, ministering angels and godly counsel to bring him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. One day he called and sounded different, excited and happy. He shared with me that MSGT Sherell did the Savior’s prayer with him. He was struggling with stressful leadership and crazy recruiting hours/hardships and they kept leaning harder on him to produce more and more. Later, in California, in 2014, when he found himself without his wife and children, he fell into a dark place, Major Jackson took him to church and helped pull him out of that place. They went together to church, men’s groups, the gym and worked together. The Major showed himself as a true Christian friend. My son was depressed and angry, but the Major continued showing the love of Christ. God is so faithful to hear the cries and prayers of a mother. Even when we were miles apart, God spanned time and space to send help to my son.

Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20.
