God Works In Mysterious Ways!

One evening, my blood pressure plummeted so drastically that my wife took me to the emergency

ree

room.  Once there, the traveling nurse on duty checked my blood pressure and found it to be normal.  I felt embarrassed.  Why was I here?  While talking to the traveling nurse, who was originally assigned to another part of the ER, but that night was reassigned to our side, we discovered that she and her husband had lost everything when their RV was washed away in the Kerrville, TX flood.  I told her it was no coincidence that God had brought us here, for I had not come for her to help me, but was here for God to bless her.

Our church had money donated to help the flood victims, and we had $2,000 that needed to be given to the victims.  We asked for her contact information so we could help her, but she said that after the funeral expenses for her husband’s parents, who died in their RV in the flood, they would be fine.  However, she thought the ER doctor needed more help than she did, as he had twin second graders, and had also lost everything.

The Lord definitely had plans for that $2,000.  We finally convinced the traveling nurse to give us her contact information, and she also gave us the information on the ER doctor.  We saw God’s perfect timing in all of this, as the traveling nurse was leaving Kerrville, TX Thursday, and this was Monday night.  Tuesday morning, I called our missions team who approved a $1,000 check for the traveling nurse and a $1,000 check for the ER doctor.  Both were grateful for the financial help they received.

Ephesians 4:6 says, “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all.”  It’s so awesome to know that the Lord would use us at the right time, to bless two different people, by letting them know that He loves them and is involved in every aspect of their lives. The Lord still works in mysterious ways, and He is always on time.

“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”  Isaiah 60:22
