Unexpected Touch By Jesus!

In 1977, I had been married for two and a half years, my wife was pregnant with my first son and my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the same time, I was diagnosed with bleeding ulcers because of all the alcohol I was drinking.

My father was sent to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX for treatment.  I received a desperate phone call from my mother who said I needed to come see my dad. My wife and I drove to Houston to see him, but my wife told me she was divorcing me as soon as my dad died, so I was anxious to find out how my dad could live longer to keep my family together. 

After seeing my dad at the point of death in the hospital, I reached out to a church I was told about in Houston. After drinking all day, I went to the church on a Saturday night special service just to get someone to go pray for my dad, but God had other plans. 

At the end of a nearly three-hour service, the preacher asked for anyone having bleeding ulcers to come down if you wanted to be healed. I went down and evangelist Charles Hunter met me in a group of some two hundred people asked me if I wanted to be healed of my bleeding ulcers. I said “yes”, he touched my forehead and I felt like alkaline seltzers were going off in my stomach. I told him that I felt I was being healed. He said, “Do you want to get your heart right with God?” I said “yes” again and again, he touched me as I felt the weight of sin leave me. He then asked if I wanted to receive the Holy Ghost and as he prayed, I received this power from God.

I have never looked back. I have been living for Jesus for 47 years. Never have I had alcohol ever again. God eternally set me free!
