Jehovah Jireh-The Lord Will Provide!

My children and I were going through a rough time in life. I was teaching at a school in Brownsville, Texas. This was just Monday, and payday was not until Friday, and we were already out of groceries. My children, (Robin and Mark), and I gathered together to pray. “Lord,” I said, “We don’t have any groceries in the house, and You know I don’t get paid till Friday, but we are trusting in You, amen.” A simple prayer. We left the house and were gone for about two hours. When we came back home, we saw two brown, grocery bags sitting by the back door full of groceries. There was a hand written note attached that said, “The Lord told me to give this to you.” No name was signed. We were so excited about what the Lord had done!
I come home after school the next day, and I see an envelope stuck inside the backdoor. I open it and inside are two twenty dollar bills. There is a note that says, “The Lord told me to give you this.” Again, no name is written, and it wasn’t the same person because I could see that the hand writings were different. When I tell the children what has happened, we all cried and fell on our knees in gratitude to the Lord. Needless to say, we experienced God’s provision to the fullest. My daughter still talks about it to this day.
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26
