Look What the Lord Has Done!!

June 2nd was my birthday, and my neighbor lady gave me a card with a bill (money) in it. I just assumed it was $20.00 and put it in my billfold.

Last week my credit card was scammed so I had to get it changed at the bank. Yesterday morning I went to Kroger's to get some groceries. I was at the check-out lane and had all my groceries rung up and gave her my credit card to pay for the items I had purchased. BUT my credit card was rejected and said it was not working right, and I could not use it. SO, I looked in my billfold to see if I had enough cash on hand to pay for everything. (I did not want to put everything back and go home empty handed) Groceries are not cheap these days. So, I reached in the back of my billfold, pulled out a bill and to my surprise it was a $50.00 bill! My groceries rung up at $47.12, so I had enough to pay for everything. I just assumed my neighbor gave me a 20-dollar bill and didn't even notice it was a fifty instead.

When I got home, I told her about that and thanked her so much for her generous gift. She said it was a God Thing, because it was just enough to cover my groceries.

I still think I saw a twenty-dollar bill in my card but here it was a fifty instead. God does work in wondrous ways, does He not?
