Set Free From Fear

John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” That scripture became real in my life when Jesus set me free from fear.
There was a time when I felt overwhelmed and pressured by circumstances around me. Fear would try to creep in fear of the unknown, fear of what could happen, and fear that I wasn’t strong enough to face it all. It weighed heavily on my heart and mind, and I realized I could not carry it on my own.
In that place, I turned fully to the Lord. I began seeking Him with all my heart, asking Him to remove every distraction so I could hear His voice clearly. As I spent time in His Word, I began to understand His strength, His power, and His promises in a deeper way. His Word reminded me that He is my protector, my refuge, and my peace.
Something shifted within me. The fear that once held me began to lose its grip. In its place came a deep, unshakable peace not because my circumstances changed, but because I knew God was with me. I realized I was not alone, and I did not have to be afraid.
Today, I stand with confidence, knowing I am covered and protected by the Lord. When fear tries to return, I go back to His Word and stand on His promises. I now walk in faith instead of fear, trusting Him completely.
Jesus truly sets us free. If He did it for me, He can do it for you. All you have to do is seek Him, trust Him, and stand on His Word.
