A Defender of Widows!

It was very hard when my husband, Simon, went home to be with the Lord, but my lifeline to my Father and Husband in the heavens were these scriptures: Psalm 68:5, “A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His Holy habitation.”  Isaiah 54:5, “For your Maker is your husband.”

My faith has strengthened, not because of me, but because He is faithful and I can trust Him with all my needs, big or small.

I am grateful to God for the wonderful family He has blessed me with.  It is my privilege and joy to be able to write this God Story to give glory to God and encourage others.  Our Father watches over His people and keeps His word.  Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”  And boy, have I seen this happen in my life!  The things that I have experienced these past three years are too many to write about.  However, I give God the praise for helping me in small situations such as: finding something I have misplaced and needing to find it quickly, to the big things, like repaving the driveway, repairing and repainting a building, and taking a riding lawnmower to get serviced.  In all this, God has been so faithful to meet every need I had.

Through prayer and reminding our God of His word (as He asks us to do) in Isaiah 43:26, He has done all these things for me, providing services for me at a minimal cost, easy payment options (by giving me favor with people I have never met before), and even using strangers offering to help me at no cost. That is the mighty God we serve. To Him be all thanks, glory, honor and praise.

“And let your widows trust in Me.”  Jeremiah 49:11
