God Confirmed His Leading!

Have you ever felt reluctant to do something the Lord wants you to do? We needed to change our "don't want to" to a "want to" attitude...

It was August and my wife and I were discussing if we should be having another “Back 2 School” event, like we had done in previous years, inviting people to our home for breakfast and having someone share their “testimony.”  We finally made the decision against having the “Back 2 School” event in our home.  But even after our decision, we kept feeling the nudging of the Holy Spirit for us to host the event, and to invite 65 educators to breakfast and to hear someone’s “testimony.”

After praying, "Who, Lord?" I called and visited a few minutes with an educator about his current plans. Not knowing the purpose of my call, the man replied, “I think I might retire. I desire to do ministry and have opportunities to share my testimony." Smiling to myself, I then asked, "Would you share it Aug. 17th in our home to 65 educators?" Dead Silence! Then the man excitedly said, "Yes."

God confirmed to us about hosting the event and who He wanted me to ask to share. Because of this educator's testimony of how he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, people were visibly moved and touched by the Lord. In addition, since this educator delights himself in the Lord, God gave him the “desires of his heart" -- an opportunity to share. God is awesome!!
