God's Amazing Provision

I had an accident at my job and ruptured two disks. I requested surgery, but the risks were a 50/50 chance of being paralyzed. God protected me and I recovered, but I lost my job and couldn’t find another as I was now considered a high-risk employee. Soon afterwards my family, (wife, 10 year old son, and 5 year old daughter), were evicted and became homeless. We were able to stay with my sister-in-law, until their landlord found out and threatened to raise their rent. We had to go. We stayed with my other sister-in-law for a few weeks as I looked for work, but the “few weeks” turned into more weeks, and finally into months. Eventually her husband said we needed to leave as he could not support his family and ours.
Now we were going to have to live in our camper truck. My wife was crying but I told her, “Don’t Worry. Everything Will Be Alright!” As soon as I said that, my sister-in-law runs out the door shouting that I have a phone call. I answer it and it’s the Section 8 Housing Department.
The woman says, “Congratulations, Mr. Garcia, you are the next family to have a home available. When can you come in and pick up your voucher?”
I tell her, “Right now.” As soon as I hang up, I rush outside to share this great miracle with my wife, who is now crying again. “Why are you crying?” I ask her.
She said, “I’m crying, because they are tears of joy!” God was so good to us. He provided a home and within one month I had a new job. The mercies of the Lord never fail. Great is His faithfulness.
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares
upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7
