Look Who God Sent!

My husband and I were building a new home and he needed some building supplies.  I took our youngest son and we headed out to the lumber store.  After purchasing all the items and returning to the car, I saw one of the rear tires had gone flat. Now what??  While deciding what to do, two very large men approached me. One was African American, the other Anglo, dressed in thermal coveralls.

They asked if I needed help. I pointed to the tire and said, “I’ve never changed a tire in my life and I don’t even know where the car tools are.”  They laughed, found what they needed, and put the spare tire on.  I offered to buy them lunch, but backing away and waving their hands, they both told me there was no need.  Driving away, I thanked the Lord for protecting me from having a blow out on the highway, and for sending two kind persons to come to me and my son’s rescue!

At home, my husband took the car and told the mechanic to fix the flat and rotate all the tires.  Later, the mechanic told him that all the lug nuts were corroded and he had to use a hydraulic tool to remove them, as it was impossible to remove them manually.  When my husband told me this, I was totally awestruck! How could that be?  Who were these two men that could so easily change a flat tire without a hydraulic tool?  Why were they so large, so strong, and one being African American, and the other an Anglo?

I believe they were angels sent from God to help me at just the right moment!  I know God watches over us ALL THE TIME, and this was a “Praise the LORD” moment, for sure!  Plus, everyone knows that angels don’t need a money reward, or for some grateful person to buy them lunch.
