The Nations Are Yours: Honduras

Thank You, Lord, for Honduras and the coffee tree that has allowed Honduras to be the 6th largest producer of coffee in the world, helping to increase its economy in sales.  Thank You for the abundance of banana plants that grow in the southern parts of Honduras, allowing bananas also to be a major export commodity.  Protect the banana plantations from damaging hurricanes and tropical storms that have destroyed the plantations in previous years.

We ask, God, that You protect the biodiversity of Honduras which is home to a variety of native plants, reptiles, amphibians, and mammal species.  And that it is part of the World Heritage Sites, protecting its habitations and rainforests, as they are considered to be of outstanding value to humanity.

Lord, give the agricultural developers better ways for unnecessary deforestation and soil erosion, and protecting fresh water lakes from major pollutants.

We say, “Angels, go forth and surround all the borders of Honduras from violence.  We bind the spirits of violence, murder, kidnapping, gang activity, carjacking, and highway assaults that infiltrate from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua, and into Honduras, making it one of the most violent regions in the world.  We bind the spirits of machoism that allows for sexual abuse against women, child abuse, sex trafficking, and prostitution.  We speak life to those held in bondage.  That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved, Romans 10:13.  Bring conviction to those who are participating in deeds of darkness and expose them to the light of Jesus, for Matthew 4:16 says, that those who live in darkness have seen a great light.  Thank You, Lord, for bringing deliverance to Honduras.”

We pray that their economy continues to prosper, and modernization can grow throughout Honduras, as currently 73% of the population is considered poor and 53% live in extreme poverty.  Bring in organizations that will help with medical needs and with food distribution, as many live with food insecurities and malnutrition, surviving on corn, rice, and beans.

Thank You, God, that You watch over Honduras and for hearing our prayers.  And that Honduras holds a special place in Your heart.
