The Nations Are Yours: Tonga

Thank You, Lord, for the country of Tonga, located in the South Pacific.  You placed Tonga strategically where You wanted it as Psalm 113:3 says, “From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised.”  Tonga is one of the first three countries in the world to see the dawn of each new day. 

Continue to bless Tonga as it is a country that honors You as 98% of the population profess Christianity.  Tonga’s constitution declares the Sabbath sacred forever, and demonstrates it as no stores are open, no public transportation, and no businesses operate.  It is illegal to play sports, swim, or do chores.  Sunday is set apart for church, family, eating and relaxing.  Joshua 24:15 says, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

We pray for Tonga’s economy as its biggest exports are bananas, vanilla bean, coconuts, and squash.  Put Your hand of protection around this island located in the “ring of fire” which is active volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, and cyclones.  We declare that no destruction will come to Tonga due to natural causes, and that the people and crops are divinely protected.

Continue to give the king, Tupou VI, and the prime minister, Aisake Eke, wisdom in decisions for Tonga.  Keep all forms of corruption out of the government.  Protect Tonga from any unnecessary connection with China, as they are trying to influence and gain access into Tonga.

Thank You, Lord, for the desire that Tonga has for creating a fossil fuel free environment in the

Pacific, for renewable energy solutions, and for creating the 2^nd largest solar plant for energy in the Pacific.  Protect the Humpback whales from danger and poachers as they do their yearly 3,000-mile migration from the Antarctic to Tonga for breeding and giving birth before returning to Antarctica where they live.

Continue to raise up Godly nurses, doctors and school teachers who provide a large workforce to New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.

We pray for the health of the Tongans, as they have the highest over weight and obese population in the world, due to genetic makeup. 

Thank you, Lord, for Tonga being a Christian example to the world.  Amen.
