Lord God, we thank You for all the women that You have called to fulfill the role of mothers. Whether they be mothers who birthed a child, women who have adopted a child, women who stand in the gap as mothers, or spiritual mothers. Thank You for the grace and the calling that You have placed upon their lives.
In the name of Jesus, we pray that You grant them patience as they instruct those under their tutelage. Season their speech with kindness and gentleness as they admonish their child in the ways of the Lord. Let their arms be filled with love as they embrace those in need. Give them the mind of Christ as they daily make decisions. Grant them Godly wisdom as they face each new and difficult situation that arises. Strengthen their physical body to carry out the responsibilities required of them for being a mother. Fill their heart with amazement and joy as they watch their child grow and mature. Let their mouth be fill with laughter and praise as they rejoice at the goodness You have shown them. Protect their heart, as there will be attacks from the enemy to wound and destroy them, but You are a shield about them. Give them the courage to let go when it is time, being secure in knowing that all things work together for good to those who love You. Romans 8:28.
When looking to the future, fill their eyes with excitement and confidence, because Your word says, “Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.” Isaiah 8:18
Thank You, Jesus, for all the mothers that have accepted Your calling. Meet every specific need that they have, above and beyond what they could ever imagine. Let her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her, “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:28-30.
