Ok. I’ll say it. When we aren’t under attack from the enemy, for the most part we as Christians get lazy. So many times in the Old Testament, God would tell the children of Israel that He would give the enemy into their hands and He would instruct them to totally destroy their enemy. On such occasions the Israelites would rout their enemy and chase them for 25 miles destroying them as they pursued them.
When we get attacked in our home, we rout the devil out into the backyard and stop. Jesus said Behold I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means harm you. If we are going to dress in the armor of God let’s act like the soldiers He has made us to be. He has made our hands for war and our fingers to fight. In the book of Samuel, as the Philistines routed the army of God, Shammah had enough of running, faced the entire enemy in a field of lentils and God gave him a victory with an army of one.
God is looking for those who will fight the good fight of faith. Choose to be the one soldier God can count on.
"Verily I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven
and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven." Matthew 18:18
