JUST TRUST GOD

Updated: Mar 29

Our second-born son, Adriel, was born with jaundice. After taking him home, the jaundice persisted and 4 days later, we had to go back to the hospital for treatment. Then at 6 months, we learned that Adriel was losing weight and so we had to force-feed him. It was heartbreaking but he eventually began to accept the formula and grow normally. These were the beginnings of the challenges we would face with our son’s development. But, through it all, we knew we had to trust God. He was our gift from Him. Adriel grew into an energetic toddler. However, he did not speak. When he turned 3 years old, we struggled to get him to say a handful of words; instead, he would grunt and point when he wanted something. By age 4, we were concerned enough to take Adriel to speech therapy. But we continued to trust God. Despite friends, teachers, and other individuals labeling him as possibly autistic or learning disabled, we trusted God with our son. God guided us. Adriel grew normally, passed every test, and is now 25 years old. He is a voice actor, singer, and a beautiful human being. His journey in life was our opportunity to experience God’s miraculous power! We could do nothing with our strength or knowledge. Adriel was and is a gift from the Lord. God watches over all of us and is concerned with everything in our lives. He will be with us through all of life’s challenges if we will simply trust him. “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.” Psalms 37:23-24
