The Nations Are Yours: Vietnam

ree

Lord, we thank You for the overcoming, victorious attitude that You have given the Vietnamese today.  They are a people with hope and vision for the future, not letting the past stop them in their quest for modernization.  Even though they have hurdles to face Your word says in Philippians 4:13, “I, (Vietnam), can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Praise God for the blessing You have given Vietnam:

  1. Improving the living standards of its people.

  2. Promoting more independent farming.

  3. Increasing Vietnam’s economy for international trading as Vietnam is the world largest

producer of cashew nuts and black pepper, the 3rd largest oil producer in S.E. Asia, and the 2nd largest exporter of rice and coffee.

4. That Vietnam has the fastest growing tourism in the world, ranking as one of the top 15 best

destinations to visit.

  1. Through Vietnam’s geographical location, it is one of 25 countries that possess unique biological diversity, freshwater microalgae, and agricultural genetic diversity.

We pray that the effects of Agent Orange can be eradicated, as approximately 4.8 million people suffer from birth defects or other health related issues resulting from Agent Orange.

  1. That efforts from the United States and other foreign countries continue supporting these victims through finances, rehabilitation centers, and vocational training sites.

  2. That treatment plants for soil polluted by Agent Orange will continue and the soil can be cleansed from chemicals.

  3. That arsenic in the ground waters will be purified so more fresh water will be available for domestic use.

  4. That the Vietnamese government will continue to demine and destroy all the unexploded war weapons still found in the country, costing 44 million dollars annually, as they are still a danger to humans and wildlife.

We pray for the 21 million people who either live in low- income areas, that need clean drinking water, or lack improved sanitary conditions.   Thank You for missionaries that spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the 1650’s.  Continue to water that seed as 81% of Vietnamese today do not believe in God.   Amen.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have

passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
